Does Planet OffRoad LLC Offer Free Shipping?
We occasionally offer free shipping on select products! For larger items like rooftop tents, bed racks, or docking gear, we often use freight carriers, which can get pricey. At checkout, you’ll see multiple shipping options based on your zip code, and “free shipping” may be available for some items (e.g., smaller survival tools or marine accessories). Can I Expedite My Order with Express or Next-Day Shipping?

Do Gearlanders and Wakelanders Ship Outside the United States?
Currently, we ship only within the United States to ensure top-notch service. For international orders, we can ship to a freight forwarder in the lower 48 states. Email hello@planetoffroad.com to arrange this and keep your adventure global!
What Mail Carriers Do We Use?
We primarily use UPS and FedEx for most orders, but for larger items like roof racks or anchors, we may use freight carriers. The carrier depends on product size, weight, and destination to ensure your hiking gear or boating essentials arrive safely.
Can We Ship to PO Boxes or Military APO/FPO Addresses?
At this time, we’re unable to ship to PO Boxes or Military APO/FPO addresses due to our carriers’ restrictions. Contact us at hello@planetoffroad.com if you need alternative solutions, like shipping to a freight forwarder.
When Can I Expect to Receive My Order?
We process most orders the same day they’re placed! Typical delivery takes 3–5 business days, depending on stock levels and shipping origin. Some products (e.g., custom rooftop tents or marine electronics) are made-to-order, which may add lead time. Check your order confirmation for estimated delivery or contact us for updates.
Why Might My Items Be Shipped Using Truck Freight?
Large items like generators, bed racks, or docking gear may require truck freight due to size and weight. These orders typically take 5–7 business days to deliver. Freight shipments require a signature, and you may need to pick up at a carrier’s dock if unsigned. Provide a phone number at checkout so carriers can reach you for smooth delivery of your overlanding or boating gear.
Why Do We Charge a Freight Fee for Truck Freight Products?
Shipping large items like roof racks or anchors is costly, often exceeding $300. We charge a flat freight fee for truck freight orders to offset these costs, keeping prices lower than many competitors. This ensures your heavy gear gets to you without breaking the bank.
How Do I Track My Order?
Once your order ships, you’ll receive an email with a tracking number to monitor its journey and estimated arrival. Whether it’s a portable stove for camping or a wakeboard for Texas waters, you’ll know exactly when it’s coming!
Will I Need to Sign for My Order?
Most orders don’t require a signature, but carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx) may request one for high-risk addresses. Freight shipments (e.g., generators, docking gear) always require inspection and a signature. Check your gear carefully before signing to ensure it’s correct and undamaged.
Is Shipping Insurance Included?
Yes, shipping insurance is included free for all Gearlanders and Wakelanders orders! Your rooftop tent or marine safety gear is protected, giving you peace of mind.
Can I Change My Order’s Shipping Method After Placing It?
To expedite an order, contact us at hello@planetoffroad.com or (888) 768-5268. We’ll work with the carrier to adjust shipping for an additional charge, if possible. Note: Orders often ship quickly, and if a tracking number is assigned, changes may not be feasible. Contact us ASAP to explore options!
What If My Order Shows Delivered but I Didn’t Receive It?
If your order is marked delivered but missing, contact us immediately at hello@planetoffroad.com. We’ll coordinate with the carrier to investigate and check if it was signed for. If unresolved, we’ll file a lost package claim. If the carrier confirms the loss, we’ll reorder your hiking backpack or boat anchor right away.
What Are the Shipping Charges for Returning an Order?
Returns follow our Refund Policy:
- Defective or Our Error: No charge for return shipping (e.g., damaged LED light bar or marine electronics).
- Non-Defective Returns: You cover return shipping costs plus a 5% restocking fee. Request an RMA number by emailing hello@planetoffroad.com.
Can You Ship to Alaska or Hawaii?
We currently ship only to the lower 48 states. We can work with a freight forwarder in the lower 48 for AK/HI orders. Email hello@planetoffroad.com to arrange this. Sorry for any inconvenience—we’re working to get your gear everywhere!
What If My Order Arrives Damaged?
If your order (e.g., camping stove or kayak) arrives damaged, notify us immediately at hello@planetoffroad.com. Provide photos of the damaged box/product to speed up the process. Refuse shipment if damage is obvious, or contact us within 3 business days of delivery to file a claim. We’ll arrange for the carrier to pick up the damaged item and ship a replacement ASAP.
- Freight Shipments: Inspect items like roof racks or docking gear before signing the bill of lading. If you sign without noting damage, you confirm the product is correct and undamaged, and a claim cannot be filed. Document issues on the bill of lading to protect your return rights.
